That’s a really lovely structure. Although it is identifiable as a mosque… there is a lot of oriental influence in the design, which makes it really unique!

I’ve not been inside Putra Mosque, only seen it from afar. Excellent write up on all the details. I’ve never understood anything about mosque design or the symbolism, thank you for the easy to comprehend explanation!. I also hadn’t realized there is a technique to creating a ‘floating mosque’ illusion. There are a few mosques in Malaysia that are actually referred to as floating mosques and I thought they really were floating. 😀

Wow, the detail and intricate designs are quite impressive. The main dome is absolutely outstanding. I actually love the pink colors 🙂 It’s is truly a beautiful mosque. It’s no wonder the construction cost about $60 Million.

What a stunning mosque! I never heard or seen photos of this place and now I want to check it out. The architecture looks truly amazing and I love the surrounding water to give the place an added spice.
